There are numerous exciting events you are not going to want to miss in Murfreesboro this June. From educational walks through historic battlefields to exciting festivals the kids are certain to love, there is truly something for everyone taking place. Whether you want to find the perfect event to take your significant other on a date or want to get the family out for some bonding time together, be sure to get out in community this June and support the town of Murfreesboro. The following are four highlighted events happening this month that you can take part in.

Ranger Walk - Never Forget (Starts June 1st)

The Ranger Walk occurs annually at Stones River National Battlefield, and the admission for the event is free. The walk takes place through the stones River National Cemetery, and a tour guide is there to explain the rich history the battle field has to offer. Any history buff who lives in the Murfreesboro area will absolutely love the history that exists so close to home. The walk takes place daily from 11 AM to 12 PM, and the first walk is set to take place on June 1st and is offered through August 11th.

Magic Day at Stones River (June 8th)

If you have kids that love to get outside and have fun, then they are going to love Magic Day at Stones River, which features a magic show, face painting, arts and crafts and so much more. The event is set to take place on June 8th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Stones River Town Center in Murfreesboro. The admission is completely free for everyone who is interested in attending, and there will be prize giveaways for those lucky enough to win.

The Little Mermaid Jr. (June 14th & 15th)

There may not be a better way to show your support for the community this June than to come out to the play of The Little Mermaid Jr. which is performed by The Center for The Arts of Murfreesboro. The event is held at their home venue, which is located at 110 W. College Street, and takes place Friday at 1 PM and 3 PM and Saturday the 15th at 10 AM. The cast are members of the community, and they would love to have your support this June.

Watermelon Festival at Lucky Ladd Farms (June 29th)

The Annual Watermelon Festival at Lucky Ladd Farms will take place this June 29th and you are not going to want to miss this opportunity for your children as they are going to have a blast and make memories they will remember for a long time. The event is scheduled to begin at 10 AM and last until around 5 PM. In addition to delicious watermelon, the event offers a splash pad, bubble blast pool, inflatable water slides, pony rides and so much more. Be sure to sign up for one of the numerous contests and try and win some great prizes to take home.
